Scrapbooking (3 weeks)

Each participant is supplied with a quality photograph album and asked to bring along their own photographs or memory pieces (e.g. concert tickets, locks of hair). These are applied to attractive backing papers and embellished with stickers, ribbons, glitter and lettering. The end result is a beautiful album of memories which can be added to long after the sessions are over.

Wooden chest decoration

An untreated wooden chest of six drawers (suitable for pens, sellotape, craft materials, jewellery etc) is provided for each participant. The chests are decorated with a range of materials from paint, stickers, lettering, gems and 'decopatch' papers. The finished article is a useful decorative item which can be used in any room at home.

Card making

Participants are introduced to various techniques of card making including decoupage and matting and layering with embellishments.  Blank cards, envelopes, background papers and die cut pages are supplied. The cards are finished professionally with gems glitter. Great for family and friends.

Plant pot decoration

A large plant pot is supplied and decorated with paint, gems and varnish. Filled with soil and planted it produces a beautiful decorative piece for the home or as a gift.

Canvas painting

A 30 x 40 cm canvas is provided and a selection of acrylic paint gems and embellishments. The end result is a lovely piece of art for the wall at home.

Fabric design

Either a canvas shopping bag, apron, t-shirt, cushion cover or cap is decorated with fabric pens and paints. Participants sketch out their designs with stencils then bring it to life with the bright colours supplied. Felt shapes can also be adhered with fabric glue.

Mosaic picture frames

Each participant is supplied with a wooden framed mirror and dozens of beautiful glass mosaic squares. A base coat of paint is applied then the design is set out and adhered to the frame with silicone glue. A lovely decorative piece to match your decor at home.

Coaster design

Using brightly coloured 'decopatch' papers, participants create their own designs and patterns on a set of 4 MDF coasters with holder. Decopatch is the process of tearing or cutting special tissue and arranging with a glue which dries to a hard wearing varnished effect. Make them all the same or make them all different!

Ceramic painting

Ceramic paints are provided to decorate a beautiful piece of pottery.  This could be anything from a garden gnome to a decorative box.  A coat of glitter adds a bit of sparkle to the end result.

Candle decoration

Tall candles and glass candle plates are provided along with liquid wax pens, glass pens and paints. Participants can create their own designs on the candles. Completely safe and no heat is required.

Wooden cutlery tray decoration

Participants are provided with an untreated wooden cutlery tray which can be painted with any design and then coated with varnish for a hard wearing finish. The tray with handle may not just be used for cutlery as anything could be stored in it like cleaning products, sewing materials or other small household items.

Ornamental Bird Box

Decopatch the roof of this little garden accessory and paint colourful designs on the remaining untreated wood.   Finished with a coat of varnish so that it is durable and can go outside in the summer.

Miniature Serving Trays

A tiny treat tray is decorated with decopatch papers, acrylic paint and varnish. This would make a lovely little accessory to go with our hand painted porcelain mugs.  Add a couple of chocolates.  What a beautiful mothersday present.
